Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to work within a team or PLC, collaborate with colleagues and appropriate others;
- Understanding of the pedagogy and central concepts of the content area as defined by the Tennessee Curriculum Standards, as well as a grasp of the instructional shifts associated with TNReady Assessments;
- Comfortable in using data resources such as TVAAS, iReady, CASE 21 and communicating results to appropriate stakeholders;
- Ability to use data to drive instruction and reflection regarding the learning process;
- Possess confidence in utilizing technology to facilitate blended instruction in a one-to-one environment and as a means of effective two-way communication with all stakeholders;
- Understanding of student learning styles and age appropriate instructional strategies that support higher-order thinking, problem solving and real-world connections for students;
- Evidence of engaging in high quality professional development as defined by the Tennessee Department of Education;
- Desire to organize, participate and attend after-school and evening programming such as Orientation, Open House, Athletics, and Movie Night;
- Ability to serve in leadership roles within the school structure, such as Team Leader or Departmental PLC Chair;
- Ability to demonstrate irreproachable loyalty to school, staff and administration.

- The ideal candidate will have served as a classroom teacher, with a primary focus in intermediate/middle grades math.
Additional Information:
The interview process will be conducted by a team of administrators and teachers. The interview will include a presentation designed to allow candidates the opportunity to demonstrate ability within the areas of instruction, assessment, data analysis, professional development and relationship building. In addition, applicants will be asked to role-play based on a real-life scenario. Finally, the candidate will discuss any additional questions pertinent to the position with the interview committee.
Ability to perform any physical duties associated with this position (e.g., lifting up to 50 pounds on
a regular basis, sitting for long periods of time, walking, seeing, standing for extended periods of
time, etc.).
